F1 2010

schumacher talking here in tv in a promo interview done at Mercedes Benz headquarter.
He seems very happy to be there and has a lot of hope in the upcoming season.

;) probably will be cool to see what will happen this year,at the end MS has a lot of thank u to say to his country and to Mercedes. He started racing seriously only with theme, will be surely interesting and full of motivation try to race again with theme.
Mercedes will have a serious approach to formula one, just hope they will not finish as BMW (great expectations...now DTM, maybe...)

Good Luck Schumy, u anyway remain a great champion (a little bit asshold...but a champion anyway :D ).

They all make what we down here call " i conti senza l'oste" (means they bla and plan..without look seriously at the reality).
There are too many GREAT f1 teams ready to win the battle.
I suspect this year will be SERIOUSLY the year of Mclaren.

IMHO f1 is and will always remain a matter between british (many) and italians (one..just THAT one..).

"A little bit asshold' you are kidding, he's a huge asshold." I hope Ferrari kick his aforementioned asshold along with Red bull, Brawn and Renault.

That sounds cynical Pat, I'm sure the 30 year old GF truly loves the poison Dwarf. Why she even buys him blue smarties.

I'm betting that she gets her sex elsewhere.

The thought of that stinky little midget trying to hump that good looking woman makes my skin crawl.

I bet the video would sell out.

Cosworth have announced that their first set of F1 engines are ready to be shipped to customers. The first batch of CS2010 engines were completed before Christmas and are now in the process of being sent to Campos, Lotus, US F1, Virgin Racing and Williams.

“We’re looking forward to seeing them all on track next month since there is still a lot of work to do before the season starts,” Cosworth general manager Mark Gallagher commented.
“After the very busy summer and autumn months when we were putting our program together it has been very rewarding to see the first engines ready for action thanks to the hard work of everyone here at Cosworth and our suppliers.”

Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali says Michael Schumacher's return to Formula 1 has fired up the Italian outfit and new recruit Fernando Alonso.

Schumacher, who won five world titles with Ferrari, is returning in 2010 with Mercedes, who won both titles in 2009 under their former guise, Brawn.

But Domencali insists Ferrari have him in their sights, saying: "Michael's return is inner motivation to our team.

"Fernando is the only driver on track to defeat Michael and he wants to win."
Schumacher's renewed rivalry with Alonso, who beat him to the 2005 and 2006 championships when driving for Renault, is one of the most eagerly anticipated match-ups of the new season, alongside 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton's first competitive meeting with Schumacher.

Relationships between the seven-time world champion and Alonso soured during their championship battle in 2006.

One flashpoint was when Schumacher deliberately crashed his car at slow speed to stop the Spaniard snatching pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Schumacher has never admitted to deliberately blocking the track but he was found guilty by race stewards and put to the back of the grid.

It was Alonso's turn to be furious at the Italian Grand Prix later that year when he was demoted five places for allegedly holding up Schumacher's team-mate Felipe Massa in qualifying.

Alonso has now arrived at Ferrari as Massa's team-mate for 2010 and he donned the famous red kit for the first time this week at the team's annual winter sports event at Italian ski resort Madonna di Campiglio.

Domenicali is relishing the battles ahead between his new Ferrari line-up and former employee Schumacher.

"Michael's return is further stimulus within our set-up," added Domenicali. "It has also triggered new interest and that is good for racing.

"It is right not to forget that what has happened has left its mark but now we have to turn the page.

"We have to show Michael that this is a strong team. We want to win.
"Fernando and Felipe are able to beat him even if Michael is still very strong."
Schumacher, who spent 11 years with Ferrari, was primed to step in for Massa after the Brazilian was forced to spend the rest of the 2009 season on the sidelines after his crash at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

However, an aggravated neck injury quashed Schumacher's hopes and now Massa, recuperated after fracturing his skull, is ready to return to racing.
Domenicali welcomed the new partnership between Massa and Alonso, who has replaced F1 exile Kimi Raikkonen, and believes it signals a new era for the Italian marque.

"We have two Latin drivers and it's a gush of fresh air which brings a sparkling, new environment," stated Domenicali.

"Fernando and Felipe are one of the strongest pairings amongst the teams."
The Ferrari boss also downplayed concerns about the balance of power within the team.
Massa emerged as the de factor number one driver in 2008, when he went on to lose the title to Hamilton by a single point.

However, Alonso is known to prefer to be top dog and openly accused McLaren of favouring his team-mate Hamilton during his tumultuous 2007 season with the Woking-based team.

Domenicali will be charged with balancing the power between Massa and Alonso at Ferrari but he is adamant internal rivalry will not be an issue.

"The rules are clear here," added Domenicali. "The drivers appreciate that.
"It was the same with Felipe and Kimi - one was stronger one year and then the other in the next and respect develops.

"People try to generate competition within our team but we have to be more rational inside."

Ferrari's countdown to the 2010 season begins with the launch of their car on 28 January at their Maranello base.

The team stopped developing their 2009 challenger, which was off the pace at the start of the season, last summer to focus on 2010 but Domenicali remains cautious about making predictions before the car has hit the track.

"I believe the prospects are good," said Domenicali. "Despite last season, which was difficult for a lot of reasons, we have consolidated for the future.
"I don't think we'll see how competitive we will be by the first test in February but maybe by the last test.

"Winning immediately would be better but let's stay calm if it doesn't happen."

what an incredible amount of BS is able to say Domenicali, instead change work before the season starts...
Just a pile of bla bla bla, when reality is ONLY if the 2010 car is a good one, we can try fight for the win, if is the same LOL machine as last year, ferrari will return in the long night as from 1980 to MS era.

I think many many new kids can create problems to the "Big asshold Chapion", starting from his team mate Nico Rosberg.Would be lovely if the work will be done by Vettel (he is my new hero since he declared he also loves Jenna Jameson as I do).
We have just to hope Mercedes staff will make teh same mistakes as BMW did. Usually big company working alone in forumla 1 end this way..

Brawn will determine driver status in F1 2010, says Mercedes

Mon, 18 Jan 10:52:14 2010
Crash.net

Ross Brawn will be at liberty to decide as to whether there is a number one and a number two driver at Mercedes Grand Prix in F1 2010, the Stuttgart manufacturer has confirmed – fuelling speculation that returning seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher will be afforded preferential status and treatment.

Brawn and Schumacher benefit from a long history together – with the Englishman having helped to expertly guide the record-breaking German to each and every one of his drivers’ world championship crowns, firstly at Benetton and then Ferrari – and that has led to fears that the Kerpen native will be able to waltz back into F1 and simply reassume the de facto number one status that was his for the majority of his career from 1991 to 2006.

If Nico Rosberg had signed up for the Brackley-based outfit expecting to be team leader, say the conspiracy theorists, then he’d better think again – as the arrival of the most successful driver in the top flight’s history alongside him has changed everything. And Mercedes – which purchased a majority stake in 2009 double world champions Brawn GP late last year – has done little to quell such talk.

“We have a team manager for this,” revealed Dieter Zetsche – chairman of the three-pointed star’s parent company Daimler AG – in an interview with Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Ross Brawn is one of the best. If he wasn’t then he wouldn’t have won both titles last year, despite his team being in their debut [season]. He will decide, and it will be the best for the drivers and the constructor.”

Zetsche also sought to allay fears that after three years out of the cockpit, Schumacher’s mental and physical fitness might no longer be quite as razor-sharp as they once were, and will consequently hamper the 41-year-old’s efforts to take the fight to – and beat – the new young guard of Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso et al.

“We are convinced that Michael will do well and that he’ll win again,” the German underlined. “Maybe not immediately – let’s give him some time – but an ace never disappoints. I’ve been impressed by his enthusiasm. Rather than a return, it seems to me like a new debut.”

I'm really looking forward to his season... it should be really interesting.

The cars have changed a bit since Micheal was last racing, plus pit strategy will be different (due to the new rules banning fuel stops)... i have to agree Ross and Micheal do make a phenomenal team.... i bet there are a few drivers that have been slightly worried about the return of such a talented driver.

Plus then you've got the Button / Hamilton battle.... Yes they will be team mates, but there has always been a bit of rivalry between them. Not to mention that Jenson always suggested that the reason Lewis was quicker than him was that Lewis had a better car, so now Mr Button has to put his money where his mouth is!!

I can't wait for this one :)

On another note... i'm not sure about the new points system, dosen't seem to me that it lends it's self to close competition.... especially if the season starts like it did last year.

Button has the "problem" he has always wanted, although I bet he wishes the problem had manifested itself a few seasons before this one! Go Jenson, prove you are better! Same goes for Keke's son, beat up on the team leader and you will be team leader. Can't really blame anyone at Brawn/MBZ if the million time world champ is designated team leader, until he proves (or not) he can't hack it anymore ...... he'd be my team leader too. I don't really like the crap he has pulled in the past so I wouldnt have hired him...but if I'm paying him the big bucks he better prove he's still the man.
