Bild has made a statement about Shumacher and a one year contract to drive the TYRELLBARHONDABRAWNMERC along side Rosberg. Seems its a done deal now so Rosberg will definitely be sucking the hind tit in 2010. Its how Shumacher operates -
when he was in Beneton with Johnny Herbert back in '94, he was allowed to look at all of Herberts data but not the other way round, and Herbert never had the updates on his car until several races after Schumacher, if at all. Does this mean the shumifans (the red army) will re emerge but not wearing red anymore?
It's all hype and bollocks using smoke and mirrors really.

so..after one year is true what I said before:D MS tested the red..saw the 2009 car runs as a skoda favorid and let fisichella and badoer to be the "LOL pilots".

When I will have serious pain in my neck, I will buy immediately a Mercedes (told U we saw MS running in go karts in our little local tracks..)

This is a serious betray for us.
For any italian the "mafia ferrari" is something as religion and /or mamma. If u betray mamma....u become an enemy ;)
..and now we wait to see MS with shemales, hookers or angry wife learning from miss Woods how to threat an unfaithful husband (even if maybe Michael can avoid to smash into neighbour tree :D , even with Korinna-terminator following him with red light eyes)
I hope they will really wake up in Maranello and make a REAL ferrari.
otherwise I wil support Lotus :D

I read an article in The Times a while back (at least I'm pretty sure it was The Times...), in which it was explained as to why Schumacher is not, in their opinion the greatest of all time.

The feeling being that because he was a self serving, cheating and selfish driver, then he wasn't honourable enough to wear the mantle of "The Greatest".

Personally, I couldn't agree more. The days of the gentleman driver may be gone, but there is no excuse for some of his shenanigans...

Just my opinion.

Graham.

Paolo - Just buy a Lotus and calm down. It's not worth using up so many heartbeats....

..honestly Dave, that is the only thing on the road I like, but if I buy that (and already refused 2 times) the gt40 dream day will always be even more far away.
so prefer be patience and :D wait my 40.:D

then I will be quiet..very very verrrryyy quiet :laugh:

Mercedes lose £81m Henkel deal

Mercedes and Henkel branding together on the 2007 McLaren MP4-22

The new Mercedes Grand Prix team has suffered an early setback with the potential loss of a sponsorship deal worth £81m (€90m / $130m).
German financial newspaper Handelsblatt reports Brawn signed a three-year contract with Henkel in July. But Henkel now claims its head of sponsorship activities did not have the authority to approve the deal and is refusing to honour it.
Update: Official statement from Henkel below.
The former McLaren sponsor claims the employee, who has since been fired, arranged the deal using stolen Henkel stationery. Daimler and Henkel are now in dispute about whether the money should be paid.
The revelation comes amid increasing speculation about Michael Schumacher being brought into the team for 2010. But would the be able to pay his salary without this deal in place?
Update: Henkel have issued the following statement:
Fraudulent Formula 1 Sponsorship
Clear position in fraud case involving Willy Luchs and former Henkel employee
Brawn GP concluded Formula 1 sponsorship agreement with Dutch letterbox company ERE B.V.
Alleged guarantee by former Henkel employee issued without Henkel’s authorisation or knowledge
Brawn GP disregarded any due diligence
Henkel informed Daimler at the end of September that no sponsorship agreement existed with Brawn GP
Henkel filed court proceedings against Brawn GP in mid-November: no liability for fraudulent actions
Dusseldorf – A fraud case, in which the Dusseldorf Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the previously convicted fraudster Willy Luchs and a former Henkel employee, has greater scope than originally believed.
Brawn GP has concluded a 3-year sponsorship agreement for 90 million euros with the Dutch letterbox company operated by the convicted fraudster Willy Luchs. A former Henkel employee is alleged to have entered into a Guarantee from Henkel to support such sponsorship agreement.
Additionally, it is totally unprecedented to believe that an employee at the 5th management level of a DAX-listed company would have been authorised to either negotiate or sign agreements of such magnitude and commercial profile without involving the company’s senior management, Finance, Marketing or Legal departments. The appropriate level of diligence does not appear to have been undertaken by Brawn GP as even a simple ”Google” search would have revealed Willy Luchs’ criminal past.
Following an enquiry by Daimler on September 28, Henkel informed Daimler that a Formula 1 sponsorship agreement with Brawn GP neither exists nor was planned.
On October 28, after Henkel was informed by the Dusseldorf Prosecutor’s Office and the fraudulent acts became apparent, it immediately notified Daimler of the acts of Willy Luchs and the former Henkel employee. Henkel fully supports the Dusseldorf Prosecutor’s Office in their investigations.
On November 13, Brawn GP demanded payment from Henkel with a fixed deadline and with the threat of legal action. To safeguard its legitimate interests, on November 19 Henkel began court proceedings against Brawn GP in the Dusseldorf District Court in order for the Court to determine that there are no obligations whatsoever on Henkel on the basis of the existing documents. Henkel will not accept a fraudulent sponsorship arrangement with Brawn GP, based on clear and obvious fraudulent acts.

On the BBC website this morning:-

Ferrari clear way for Schumacher

Ferrari have insisted they will not prevent Michael Schumacher making a Formula 1 return with another team.
The seven-time world champion has been a consultant for Ferrari since retiring in 2006 and said recently he would stay in the role for another three years.
But Ferrari chief Luca di Montezemolo says his position is "not binding".
Schumacher, 40, has been linked with a move to Mercedes, who have taken over world champions Brawn and already signed driver Nico Rosberg for 2010.
Schumacher was on the brink of a racing return with Ferrari in August to deputise for the injured Felipe Massa. Those plans were abandoned following medical checks on a neck injury the German suffered in a motorcycle accident earlier this year.

With that neck problem now understood to be fully healed, Schumacher is thought to be close to completing a sensational return to the sport with German giants Mercedes.
"If he takes another road, our agreement will no longer be valid. You can't work with a competitor and with us at the same time," said Ferrari president Montezemolo.
"I still haven't spoken to him about it. He is only a dear friend, not a team member. He is a consultant for our road cars."
Schumacher agreed a new role with Ferrari over the summer, cutting his links with the F1 team to become an ambassador, consultant and test driver for the company's road cars.
Now Mercedes are understood to want him to launch their return to F1 following the takeover of Brawn. Countryman Rosberg, 24, has already been signed up, but the team's second driver has yet to be confirmed, although they have also been linked with Nick Heidfeld.

I have no idea if it is true or not but obviously if he would join that would be an absolutely fantastic move
Rosberg on talk of a Schumacher comeback with Mercedes

"I hope that my team-mate will be sorted out pretty soon and at the moment the rumours are very strong for Michael Schumacher," said Rosberg, who drove for Williams between 2006 and 2009.
"I have no idea if it is true or not but obviously if he would join that would be an absolutely fantastic move."
German newspaper Bild reported that Schumacher, who turns 41 in January, had already agreed a deal, thought to be worth 7m euros, with Mercedes in principle.
Should he return, Schumacher would go head-to-head with fellow world champions Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.
Button, who won the 2009 title with Brawn, will drive for McLaren in 2010, alongside fellow Briton and 2008 champion Hamilton.
Alonso, champion in 2005 and 2006, will spearhead Ferrari's challenge following his move from Renault. Button has already told BBC Sport that Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull are the teams most likely to trouble McLaren next season.

Schumi was totally unuseful for ferrari in the rule he had till yesterday.

Remain inside the paddock and look live races with Ferrari hat on and saying the new street ferraris are a masterpiece was valued 30 milions euros every year (wow..u need a world champion to say that !)

A lot of what he did was ALSO done by the (british) staff doing all his winning ferrari, that staff is the same one that today is missing in maranello.
Formula one is at all a british matter, the guys able to do the REAL cars are ONLY british.
Too many make the mistake (look at BMW) to think u can manage all alone, bmw genius was able to say bye bye to Frank Williams, that knows too much in those kind of races.
The result was the retire of the bmw from formula 1.

For sure he has been a too great pilot, probably the greatest of the last decades (now u will ban and hate me..but this is my idea):
If he really got balls he had to proof his skill over any of the many Oval american super speedways running at over 400 km/h.
Many say is boring, many say thats stupid: I think u NEED balls to do that.Big ones also.
As the great Senna, also he never tried that.
The last of the heroes doing this SERIOUS was the king nigel mansell, but nigel is nigel.

I am curious to see if our "amico" schumy will remain friend also when he will have a spanish driving the red inside his mirrors....

Does Shoemaker have any friends ? I think he can turn Mercedes into a 1-car team, just as he has with every other 2-car team he has been in. If he gets to write, bend, manipulate and ignor the rules, he will win, as he plays every level to his advantage, in-car and all. He only understands winning, no matter what the cost.

QUOTE]

He always was Nigel... Unfit and couldn't set a car up to save his life (in his own words). BUT he was a balls to the floor driver who would not cope with the politics that is F1 today. To go to the USA and win was unthinkable, but he did it. Brave doesn't begin to describe him. When he T-Boned a car that had lost in in the curve and walked away (I forget who it was now)...A driver who came from a time when driving was everything, and media beauty was still wearing a nappy...(or diaper to you guys in the US :) )

I remember well the last race of the season in Australia when he had a puncture which cost him the title, but I also remember Silverstone when he won the race and he credited the crowd with half a second per lap.

Never a media sweetheart, and a man who could make gravy curdle round the dinner table with his plodding dialogue, but he was a RACER... and for that I will forgive him most of his failings.

Brazilian driver Lucas di Grassi will partner Toyota refugee Timo Glock at Virgin Racing next season as the all-new team tackle their first Formula One campaign. Portugal’s Alvaro Parente and Brazil's Luiz Razia will serve as test drivers.

The signing of Di Grassi, Renault’s third driver for the past two seasons, was confirmed in London on Tuesday as Virgin officially unveiled their team identity, by their own admission ‘the worst kept secret in F1’...
