F1 2009

They're all good Malcolm I agree, but Brands Hatch and Donington are far too narrow for F1 in my opinion having raced at all three. It's no conincidence that these two make the best bike tracks as well. Access to Silverstone is by far the best of the three although it's a bit of a shame that Thruxton was never considered because the location is good and it's a wide fast track.

As far as Donington goes, I would reckon that any contemporary F1 car would only need the first 4 gears of their 8! With East Midlands airport Approach directly over the track - it would make for great access via air, but the kerosene fall out makes the track like a skating rink in most conditions.

Actually I don't really care as long as it stays in GB. I just want the whole rotten gang to disappear and Ari Vaatenen get the job..:uneasy:

He gets around, he also lives in Australia near Lakeside,QLD Raceway, Morgan Park and Surfers Paradise..

This noise moaning guy has more houses than I have cars dammit! Maybe we should nail him on carbon foot print with all the flying he does between homes! Nah, he would only throw that back at us as V8 lovers as well as the noise issues! Pox on the cad!

Yes I agree, Ari to get Max's whip next.

The press are reporting that the little guy, you know the one, has thrown Silverstone a lifeline. I'm beginning to think it's the other way around and Damon has hold of the rope with the lifebuoy at Bernies end. One the one hand I'd like to see ecclestones (deliberate lower case to be derogatory) face being rubbed in the shit of his own making and Damon letting go of the rope but, by the same token, I'd also like to see a long term contract in place for Silverstone as well.
Anybody investing in Donington would be unlikely to see their money back let alone the 15% interest that they are offfering as the venture has been rated in the city as CCC+.
And they, the city, should know a lot about not getting money back.......

Williams may choose Renault Engines for 2010 though Cosworth have an offer as well.
RBR (Red Bull Racing) has been excluded by McLaren from using Merc power so having told Renault "Bon Nuit" they may be scrabbling around as well. I imagine it will be Hobsons Choice (Thomas Hobson (1545–1631) ran a thriving carrier and horse rental business in Cambridge, but gave no choice as to which horse you had) - Cosworth or nothing ?

As the suns comes up in Brazil so does the chances of rain and it may be a whole weekend in the same vein. Looking at some of the South American Charts for this weekend, I think the probabilities of rain for today and tomorrow are around 30 to 40% (meaning a chance of 60 to 80%. Remember Statistics? More than a 50% probability means its already happening)
Loads of fun in the rain to be had in Interlagos and they are advertising that it's sold out but that may be wishful thinking. With No Massa and only 'chello to give them any hope, there may be a mass exit if he fails to finish. Look out for the biggest Brazilian flag you've ever seen in the southern grandstand beside the go kart track/heliport.

I see the game has started between Massa and Teflonso already with Massa saying quite openly that he "Knew about Crashgate" before it became public.

They were all smiley faced and backslappy today, but the inference was quite clear: "If I knew about it, my old Slippery Spaniard, why didn't you?"

Button only made P14 in Q2 so he is directly in front of Vettel in P16.
What would happen is Button backed into Vettel in the first corner?
Turn 1 is an awful left hand bend and almost a negative camber as the circuit drops rapidly into the right hand Turn 2 and then onto the Left hand Turn 3 where all the water accumulates.
With Button sscreing it up and Webber getting some good times in Q2, Horner is starting to look a bit happier now.

Font row: Chello and Webber.
Funny old session really.

Vettel has gone up one place after the Jordan - sorry the midland - or the spyker - or the India in the hands of Bronco Vitantonio stuffed up in q and broke his gearbox.

I must have a pretty sick sense of humor, but when Kimi drove through that fire I laughed my ass off imagining his stoic demeanor......and what was going through his mind.

What an amazingly good drive by Mark Webber. Very Impressive.

A good drive for Webber but once again he is WAY too late with the blocking move while driving a brick cemented to the track. IMO a pathetic move trying to stop a pass that because of the speed difference pretty much already happened.

Well next year we won't be seeing this exact scenario as KERS has the kiss off.

Great opening lap sequence of events - check out this video

Too late - Bernies' Drones have lifted it...

Congrats to Jenson, Rubens and everyone at Brawn. I am so pleased for those guys who came out of nowhere and trounced all the fancy big budget names. Meanwhile, I am backing Lewis to hold off the 'Flaming Iceman' at the final race.

By the way, that little 'hot spell' in the pits was nothing to Kimi - his favourite cocktail is the Flaming Lamborghini and he regularly sets fire to himself for fun..... :stunned:

More like this next year please!
