F1 in 2013

Sir Stirling is a much much braver man than I. However I agree with him, and I think it is self evident, how many women are driving in F 1 today? How many women drivers have there been in the history of the sport? I will say I don't think mental capacity has anything to do with it, unless he means women are so much smarter than men they don't need to prove themselves on the field of battle so to speak........
No women are much better off making babies and looking after the men of the house.
How am I doing so far girls?

Pete - you're a brave man (probably on short rations now)

She's much better looking than Vettel etc so perhaps it's a plan by Bernie to make F1 more glamorous. And give Suzi Perry some competition?
Before anyone get's onto the grid do they do a test to see if they can reverse park?

They already have that test Ian and that's why there are no women in F1. Boom boom.

Talking of S Perry, I must have admit to being quite underwhelmed by her 'performance' so far and is way below Jake Humphrey in presentational skills.

Did she shag her way there?

It's all over FB that Webber is going to run LMP Porsche next year. It may be a good move for him as it appears that he is not liked where he is, for some reason. Who would be the new drivers union steward for F1?

I wonder what Sir Sterling’s little sister Pat would have thought of his comments had she still been with us. Wasn't she a rally driver of some renown?

Err, I was joking Tom. Tongue in cheek so to speak.
Vettel doesn't give a shit about anyone except the man in the mirror.
I agree that Jenno would be very good.

Well at least Marko's bum buddy won fair and square this time. Some terrific dicing behind Vettel. Lotus continuing to look good along with the F cars. NOT!

Let me say that again Lotus look like they are in for a good season.
Ferrari have a lot of work to do.

Whilst I agree in principle with you Pete, there are exceptions :idea:

Agreed. I think most people are "tyred"of this crap now.
Interesting comparison - spent yesterday at the Aston Martin Owners Club classic meeting at Oulton Park. It was cold and windy and raining but was a brilliant thing to watch - everyone flat out, all the cars looked different, people were friendly etc. etc. and then I watched the overmanaged and manipulated Spanish F1 today - dismal stuff.
Bring back flat out racing.......please!

Cheers

I'm now officially pissed off with Pirelli and the tyre economy run. Come on Bernie fix it.
We're supposed to be racing.

I feel I missed something. Fernando basically said "screw the tire concern" and pitted whenever he used up his tires, and basically set the F1 show back where it should be. So didn't Ferrari basically "fix" the problem?

I wonder how many of the other teams will do the same next race?
