....Should get the box tomorrow.... Apparently they sent the box to a shop in Montague Gardens where I would collect it but the shop didn't know that it was for me and thought it was a wrong delivery so they sent it back.... So, they tell me it's back in East london. Now they are sending it again and I must pick it up in Airport Industria come tomorrow....
Why do I have the feeling it was never sent in the first place. Anyway I'll try again tomorrow.

Yeah Pete,
They most probably waited for the money to show in their account first (different banks take 3 days) before they wanted to send it. That or I have been scammed. Anyway, the dude phoned me again yesterday with an address where I can pick up the box. I really hope it's there. Really do not feel like driving to East London.....

Well I have a waybill number and I am suppose to collect the box today. So things are looking better. The box was only sent yesterday from East London. :furious:
Here are some pics of the build. I had to hack away again. Picked up a discrepency between the left and right side. (10mm)

Good and bad news.
Bad news is that i went to the courier depot and there was no 01E awaiting me. The guy there looked up the waybill number and it wasn't on his system.
Good news is that he phoned the East London courier depot and the box is there. Apparently the seller only paid for the courier fees today although the box has been there since last week... So yes, it never left East London. The courier told me though that it will be on the truck this evening and he will phone me tomorrow for pick-up. At least I feel assured that I will get my box. (Just hope the box is as promised.....)

I saw my box at the courier yesterday. Picking it up this morning. I could not see 01E on it anywhere but will clean it and then look again as soon as I have it.
Here are some progress photos. Fixed the discrepencies, now just have to shape and finish the right side. Also decided to make my light recessess slightly narrower. Front vents and intakes needs alot of work still but we are getting there. I say 'we' because of my able helper 'Uncle Dries' who you can see in the pics and who is helping me with sanding.

This is еxtremely frustrating. Picked up the box and it is a 012..... Phoned woodbrook spares in East London and asked what the hell was going on. Now the story is that I have someone elses box and he has mine. And don't worry, it will be sorted by today...... Yeah right. I told him if nothing by tomorrow I want a full refund.... I can just see alot of crap to get my money back.

Hi David and Pete. I have been screwed. Spoke to the owner of Woodbrook Spares, East London, South Africa. He tells me:"So what's wrong with the box?" I told him well it's not a 01E it is a 012 and that he told me that 01E was printed on the box. So he tells me that he thought he saw 01E on the box but that there is no difference between the two boxes on which I answered 'bullshit' I have done my homework (thanx Dave) and the 01E is what I wanted and what I paid for. Then he comes with a story he has a 6 speed TDI box and he can sell me that BUT it is alot more expensive.... yeah right like I'm going to let him screw me again. I'm going to the couriers right now and I'm sending that box back and I will be asking for a refund BUT I know this is going to turn out badly for me.

Well I'm off to Cape Town again (3rd time) this time to send back their crap. I feel like taking a drive to East London this coming weekend. Let's see.

David, what box is in the Audi TT 2.0 TDI? I know it is a 6 speed but do not know if it is 01E.

aaah ok. Well I am going to have a real hard time getting my money back from these pricks. Told me now that they are getting two A6's in. Just stalling for time. I have asked for a refund but they are sourcing... (and that I don't believe either)
Man I'm pissed off. Can get a 01E in Cape Town (Saw an ad yesterday) for less than what I have paid for from East London AND it IS AN 01E unlike what my friends on the East coast sent me. Really do not want to just write 390GBP off. (R5000)

If you paid for it with a credit card I would bet you can contest the charges with the card vendor based on what was delivered. You don't lose your money and the card company goes after the vendor
