Frank, you are quite correct in that Rio is so much better than SP - the scenery for one. After that riotously dull election, relax, make yourself a caiperinha, or two, and now look at some fantastic scenery.

Those of the other persuasion (dance at the other end of the dance hall, Uphill gardeners, go home on the other bus, row the punt from the other end , genderbenders and TVs) have their own and very seperate carnival on Le Blon and Copacabana beach front. All quite jolly and colourful apparently as Michael Palin covered it on television here last night. The male voice choir seemed to be singing Samba songs written by Joao Gilberto.

Vettel.
then...........
a bunch of also rans.

Fact : Nobody remembers who came second and third.

ie - who came second at Montreal in, say , 2005?

I know that Raikonnen won but I would have to look it up
to see who came second.

ps
I think refuelling should be re-introduced. These silly tyre stops are really tiring and the best option is to run on the right rubber for the conditions instead of dumming it down with "prime this" and "option that". There is only one tyre supplier so who gives a "rats arse" about how many different compounds they can produce.

It's all just so sanitized and safe. The only thing the last GP was famous for was - and they keep playing it on any program remotely associated with F1 - the accident when one car jumped over another.
Maybe we should have a set of spray bars to make , say , 1/3 of the track wet. Wet races are often much more fun
than what we have now.
These cars are nearly all 'one off' 'prototypes' - well 'two off then' so get rid of the rule book and let the engines be unlimited, the tyres as wide as you like, and the fuel tanks 100 litres.
The boys and their computer games will disappear into the distance and the real men step forward to replace them.

How many of you inspect the inside of your eyelids from say lap five until she either brings you a beer or a coffee
or tells you you are figtening the goldfish by snoring......
Go on - admit it - its just a bit boring. The qualifying is often more interesting.

Apart from the unexceptable danger and deaths of the period, the most exciting time for race car innovation was the 60 / 70s , when engineers were able to ( almost ) have a free mind.

If you did that, then you would be giving the boys and their computer games carte blanche to do what they wanted. Far from getting rid of them, they would be all over the sport like a rash. And the cars would be pretty much undrivable by humans as the G forces would be so high.

It would go the same way as high performance aircraft, humans would be the weak link.

HRT might not appear in Brasil and incurr the financial penalty. Could they pay it ? Possibly not.
Dismissing about 35 of their staff this week.

If the final finishing order ends unchanged SV will renew as champion.

Have a great vantage of turn12 at the end of the DRS straight and overlooking 13,14,15. Austin is doing a pretty good job moving over 120K fans via every means of transportation possible. Team shirts etc selling out on day one!! Who says US won't attend an F1 race.. ...

The green track is maturing with quicker lap times each day.

Alonso charmed by Ferrari "accidently" breaking the seal on Massa's gearbox, Massa's demoted five grid spots and Alonso gets to start on the clean part of the grid. Good thinking lads:stunned:

b) if the number of first places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of second places,
c) if the number of second places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of third places and so on until a winner emerges.
d) if this procedure fails to produce a result, the FIA will nominate the winner according to such criteria as it thinks fit.
