Terror in London.

In the midst of glaring evil the good still shines through.

No violence, no weapons, no point scoring, no keyboard warriors, no egos, no rhetoric, just incredible bravery from three incredible woman.

A mother-of-two described tonight how she put her own life on the line by trying to persuade the soldier’s murderers to hand over their weapons.

Being a cub leader I have my first aid so when I saw this guy on the floor I thought it was an accident then I saw the guy was dead and I could not feel any pulse.

“And then when I went up there was this black guy with a revolver and a kitchen knife, he had what looked like butcher’s tools and he had a little axe, to cut the bones, and two large knives and he said 'move off the body’.

“So I thought 'OK, I don’t know what is going on here’ and he was covered with blood. I thought I had better start talking to him before he starts attacking somebody else. I thought these people usually have a message so I said 'what do you want?’

“I asked him if he did it and he said yes and I said why? And he said because he has killed Muslim people in Muslim countries, he said he was a British soldier and I said really and he said 'I killed him because he killed Muslims and I am fed up with people killing Muslims in Afghanistan they have nothing to do there.'

She said: “I started to notice more weapons and the guy behind him with more weapons as well. By then, people had started to gather around. So I thought OK, I should keep him talking to me before he noticed everything around him.

“He was not high, he was not on drugs, he was not an alcoholic or drunk, he was just distressed, upset. He was in full control of his decisions and ready to everything he wanted to do.

I said 'right now it is only you versus many people, you are going to lose, what would you like to do?’ and he said I would like to stay and fight.”

The suspect in the black hat then went to speak to someone else and Mrs Loyau-Kennett tried to engage with the other man in the light coat She said: “The other one was much shier and I went to him and I said 'well, what about you? Would you like to give me what you have in your hands?’ I did not want to say weapons but I thought it was better having them aimed on one person like me rather than everybody there, children were starting to leave school as well.

Mrs Loyau-Kennett was not the only woman to show extraordinary courage. Others shielded the soldier’s body as the killers stood over them.

A mother hailed “the Angel of Woolwich” after she tended to Lee Rigby as he lay dying on the road said she comforted him as she would her own son.

Amanda Donnelly, 44, and her daughter Gemini, 20, knelt and prayed by the fallen soldier as his killers ranted at cameras.

The war on Islamic terrorism is failing badly. There is a lack of will in the West to confront the enemy within and without.
Michael Adebolajo, the British-Muslim Nigerian convert to the UK cleric Bakri Muhammed’s doctrine of beheadings and disembowelment, gave an interview to a bystander with a meat cleaver in his bloodied hands while the butchered body of 25-year-old soldier lay on the road behind him.
Bakri Muhammed, who preached in UK mosques, and has since been deported, said: “I saw the film on TV and we could see that he was being very courageous."
Terrorism is financed by Afghanistan’s production of more than 90% of the world’s opium, the derivatives of which include heroin and morphine.
In February this year, the US State Department announced that it was handing out $18.2 million in “Good Performers Initiative Awards” to Afghan farmers for reducing poppy cultivation. WTF!
Afghans were being asked nicely with US dollars to grow carrots and cabbages
Of course, now the troops are leaving, bumper crops are forecast from the 280,000 acres under poppy cultivation worth $US6 billion.
Crumbs, what did the US expect? Could vegetables finance the Taliban and Al Queda?
The US had no problem defoliating half of Vietnam but has a conscientious objection to eliminating the source of finance for the enemy and stemming the source of America’s and Europe’s narcotic problem.
The West is facilitating terrorism. The Taliban and Al Queda can’t believe their luck.
Not only are they forcing our troops to retreat but they are financing their war effort with opium while tearing at the social fabric of the US and Europe with insidious, debilitating narcotics.
And of course they have complete freedom to activate the Islamic sleeper cells installed in our suburbs.
What sort of damned politically correct war is this?

It's a total waste of time/energy to debate the issue with you.

Larry, you seem to have "lecturing" and "debating" confused.

An integral part of debate is exchange of supporting information for differing points of views.

Jim is as astute as the rest of us "Libtards", as our erstwhile LB whacko-nutjob calls us....

I say it all the time, it bears repeating here..."There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT see!" Are you blinded to any point of view that differs from your own?

To the casual reader it sure seems so....if you want to debate, you have to acknowledge the alternate premise and be willing to discuss...this coming from an old debate coach. All that "lecture" requires is the regurgitation of a point of view, then it's off to the track without the wildest care that there might be someone who thinks differently and, heaven forbid, dares to say so, perhaps in a manner that might disturb you?

The point of debate is not necessarily to change anyone's mind, it is to engage in vigorous discussion between the two adherents of opposing views with the intent of sharing information. It's a two way street, lecture is a one way street.

Would certainly like to hear your opposing viewpoint to this rant :drunk:

Cheers!!

On the topic....my sympathies to all those who lost loved ones in the terrible incident in London. Two whackos....might have been Demopublicans, might have been Republicrats, might have been Libtards, might have been Conservacreeps, that is yet to be seen. One thing is certain...they were bound and determined to make their agenda known one way or another, come hell, high water, or a gun in the hands of an intended victim. A sad day, indeed...what a shame that our friends in Great Britain have to endure this, too.....

Doug, talk about "not seeing the forest for the trees", The "two wackos" were talking about
Allah and were praised for their "courage" by Imams. What does that bring to mind? It was a cowardly attack on an unarmed, unsuspecting victim in his country of birth by two armed fundamentalist Muslims welcomed to the UK by naive British politicians.

Not at all, Al....I share your disgust at the cowardly act, no doubt, and abhor the belief that death achieved in jihad ensures life everafter in whatever heaven they believe....that's just propaganda spewed by those who would rather stand back and entice impressionable young militants to commit the acts that they are too cowardly to commit.

But, as I said, more than anything I rue the fact that our peace loving friends in GB are having to endure these kind of attacks, not only the attack on their bodies, but also the attack on their culture and their society.

Cheers!

Doug, you reasoning and logic chips need to be rebooted. Take care, Al

Surely Bob this succinctly shows up one of the biggest problems in trying to debate on this forum. Unless they are a former pupil, your friend could not possibly have any idea what sitting through one of yerdugliness’s lessons would be like.

They may hear something that could be life changing, they may not. Yet they are not prepared to have an open mind listen and then make a decision based on the facts not pre conceived judgment.

“The reason we have two ears and only one mouth, is that we may hear more and speak less”
OK I confess I struggle with that one as well

I would have won the bet :pepper:

Ignorance is such a terrible burden...notice I did not say stupidity, ignorance is simply either lack of information or the choice to "ignore" information.

What LB doesn't know, or has chosen to ignore, is that in my career in education I was never a "teacher" with classes....I was always a specialist.

In my new "career" (for lack of a better term) I am a psychologist for the prison system in the state where I reside. Talk about slashing of wrists....I hear a lot about that!!! :stunned:

.....ooooohh....it's so tempting....but I won't go there :shy:

Cheers!

No, Nick, when you've read years of this man's incessant drone of cliches, you can pretty well judge his style. I guess it works for some, but others seek originality and wit mixed in with their daily lecture.

Evidently, he can find a job which is heartening, but shows how government employment can be the safe haven of mediocrity.

Right you are, David!

I thought about doing this by PM, but...as I said...you are right.

I want to apologize for getting into that fray...you and Pete have always been two of my favorite members here on the forum and I feel very badly for detracting from the original message, that of how sad it was that this sort of terrorism is plaguing our societies.

It was a misguided effort to point out that terrorism knows no boundaries, political or economic, it's an equal-opportunity villain...my words may have been intended to inject a bit of levity, but they were miserable failure in that effort, and you and Pete deserve a public apology, not just one by PM.

You have no idea how badly I feel.....I should have just STFU!!!! :lipsrsealed:

One very sad and embarrassed Doug......
